I know, its annoying when the gym folks say working out is the best thing ever and they can't live without it and all that. But it really does help you feel energized. Forget the science that it boasts metabolism, that doesn't help because it never motivated me to workout.
However an early morning walk or run really does help me with the rest of my day. and it genuinely helps me to not be tired the morning half of the day. After lunch is a different story, but that's why I never really eat huge lunches so that I don't sleep away.
